I don't think there's another songwriter that can make you cry easily and I'm Irish but never lived there, my mum did and my dad still does and everytime I went back I felt different,freer and always felt a yearning for it and don't blame my dad for going back, and you can tell Shane never felt comfortable and had a longing and Ireland wouldn't of cured it but at least he thought it could for a few years before drink and drugs became a dependency and we got these songs but once your drinking coz you have to it's finished! Not just creativity,woman, fun but all of life but like all songwriter's they do there best songs before they become dependent
